Matthew Yg, is whip smart, deeply caring, realistic and pander to no side. I mean he strikes me as a liberal, even Democratic Party voting intellectual with solid old Republican values. What I didnt hear from him which is what I assumed would be his logical conclusion is that perhaps a good chunk of what the media simply refers to as the "Trump Base" might be quite the ultimate anti-establishment radicals, which is great for oppositional politics were they and the whole of America on both sides of partisanship would be honest enough to resolve the question of race. Because class (for everyone) is actually where it's at. And what do we talk about when we talk about class? Are the factories and production hubs that died or left small towns from late 1960s-2005 back to boost local economies, Matt? And if we are talking of Biden's muted "boom" time, do we know actually why are the numbers bright and shiny? How are locsl, regional, state economies? Perhaps Matt might want to shed deeper light on that. Overall, I loved the Q&A...and Im in Johannesburg, a South African.
Enjoyed the piece will read more Yglesias thanks. Don’t think the guns in American life make for a healthy society/political conversation (wasn’t mentioned) Also US world police permi wars don’t seem to be a political problem - I’m guessing the military is a big employer.
I'M in the " Enjoyed That " Crowd !!! Doc From Dorset

Excellent read. Thank you both.
